Brinel, a group of IT&C companies controlled by Clujbusinessman Marcel Borodi, expects this year's turnover to go backto the 2007 level, when the group's total turnover revolved around25m euros.

Brinel officials declined providing additional information aboutthe group's 2009 total turnover, mentioning that in 2009, becauseof recession, there was a significant turnover decline against theprevious year.
The biggest company of the group, Net Brinel, ended 2009 withturnover worth around 39.5m RON (9.4m euros), significantly downfrom 2008, when sales of around 93.8m RON (22.3m euros) wereregistered, according to Finance Ministry data. The entire Brinelgroup's turnover reached some 28m euros in 2008.
"2010 is certainly a better year than 2009, given that Brinel'sturnover after the first nine months is 70% higher than a year ago.Nevertheless, at present we can see no clear reasons why the marketshould pick up and we expect at least another 12 months of deeprecession", Marcel Borodi, chairman of Brinel group, told ZFTransilvania.
