Ilie Vonica, who controls Polisano group with turnover worthabove 300m euros on the pharmaceutical and private health servicesmarkets, is contemplating strong expansion this year on the segmentof private clinics and hospitals through new openings, but alsocontinues developing other business lines.
In an interview with Ziarul Financiar, Vonica conveyed an upbeatmessage, saying things were getting better in the business andbanking environments.
The businessman can be considered as one of the most powerfulentrepreneurs in the pharmaceutical and healthcare servicesindustries.
Last year, the businessman announced he was making investmentsin a drug plant in Sibiu, the only business segment he had nottackled until then. Through this investment, Vonica becomes one ofthe few Romanian entrepreneurs still holding productionfacilities.
"I've always wanted to grow in the drug industry, as well.Currently, the project is called Polipharma Industries. The projectis developed over several years and it entails investments worthseveral million euros. It will be one of the largest drug plants inRomania," explained the businessman.
