UWE Birkkjaer, managing director/CEO of Orkla Foods for Central and Eastern Europe, said the recruitment process to find the new general manager of Orkla Foods' Romanian division would be finalised by the beginning of next year, with both internal and external candidates being interviewed for the position. "We are determined to make a decision on January 8, and will evaluate both candidates from our Romanian branch and from Orkla as a whole, as well as external candidates," said Birkkjaer. He added that if recruitment were done outside Romania, Orkla would use a head hunting company for help. "When we need external recruitment, we use a head hunter such as Egon Zehnder International," said the general manager of Orkla Foods CEE. Egon Zehnder is among the top executive search companies in the world, and as yet has no direct operations on the Romanian market. At the end of last month, Daniel Guzu, founder and general manager of the paint producer Fabryo Corporation, controlled by investment fund Oresa Ventures, announced that as of January 1 next year, the position of general manager would be taken over by Aliz Orkla, the current chief executive of Orkla Foods Romania. Aliz Kosza had various positions with multinational companies like Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Gillette, Johnson & Johnson and Kraft Jacobs Suchard Romania since 1992. She became the chief executive of the Romanian operations of Hungarian petroleum company MOL in 2001 and then left to become chief executive of Orkla's branch in Romania on January 1,
2004.
