Cement demand in Bucharest is set to be fuelled in the comingyears by infrastructure and housing projects, and to a lesserextent by investments in the construction of office spaces orshopping centres, stated Mihai Rohan, general manager ofCarpatcement, during the Meet the CEO conference Business Magazinorganised yesterday.

No construction works for large buildings will be started inBucharest in the next five years, but only those whose constructionhas already started will be finalised, believes Rohan.
He also said Romania's cement market would not revert to the 2008level, of around 12 million tonnes, any sooner than ten years fromnow. The 2008 level was similar to the one reached in 1987, viewedas one of the best years for Romania's cement production.
On the other hand, he considers one of Romania's features in timehas been political indecision, showing that the country has notfound its direction now, either.
