Interior design specialists say Romanians have become much moreinterested in interior decoration in the last few years, asincreasingly more of them are willing to pay an interior designerto furnish their home, writes Business Construct magazine, whichwill appear on the 1st of July together with Ziarul Financiar.
The average cost of an interior decoration project is 200-300euros/square metre, with luxury projects costing as much as 1,000euros/square metre, and architects' fees accounting for 5-15% ofthe investment. Architects say Romanians tend to come prepared,gathering their information either from specialised magazines, orfrom international interior design fairs. Unlike Europeans, whoprefer as simple a design as possible, Romanians appear to be moreinclined towards opulence, even if it is not representative oftheir lifestyle.
Romanians' tastes for interior design are very different fromthose of western-Europeans, with Romanians opting more often forspectacular decorations, which, however, leave to be desired bothin terms of appearance and in terms of quality.
