Austria's Wolf Theiss law firm, run in Bucharest by BryanJardine, switched back to growth in terms of revenues in the firstthree months of this year, after two years when the firm had togive up one third of its lawyer team and take other cost-cuttingsteps to uphold profitability.

"In 2009, the domestic office saw its revenues go down, butnot significantly as we had projects in the pipeline from previousyears. In 2010, we saw improved profitability, offsetting theslight revenue slide through cost-cutting moves, which included therenegotiation of the rental contract for the firm's headquarters.2011 started with double revenues against the previous year, whichencourages us to expect the revenues of the domestic office toincrease by over 30%," stated Bryan Jardine, a managing partner ofthe firm.

Jardine did not specify the level of the company's revenuesafter the first three months or 2010.

Wolf Theiss representative says 2011 started with major deals inthe energy, forestry, transport or agriculture areas, as well aslitigation.
