22% higher turnover for Hagi's hotel

Iaki four-star hotel of Mamaia, owned by former footballerGheorghe Hagi, will end this year with turnover worth almost 12.9mRON (3m euros), up 22.8% from a year ago, according to theofficials of Hagi Sport company, managing the hotel.


"Both accommodation revenues and food&beverage ones have a40% contribution to turnover. Outside the season, food&beveragehas a higher contribution, especially since the onset of thecrisis," stated Anca Nedea, 32, who came at the helm of thefour-star hotel this February.
The spa centre also has a significant contribution to the hotel'sturnover, at 10%. Also, hotel space rental and the beauty centrealso generate 10% of turnover.
Last year, Hagi's hotel reached 10.5m RON (2.5m euros) turnover and190,000-euro losses, having 125 employees, according to TradeRegistry data.
Anca Nedea specified the 2011 budgets were being drawn up, andwould be finalised by yearend, and she hoped the hotel would postno further losses.
