31.03.2008, 19:50 6

The Agricover Group, a provider of agricultural solutions, targets a 360 million RON (approximately 100 million-euro) turnover in 2008, an increase of more than 52% on last year, as a result of improved distribution and a better farming year than 2007. "I believe 2008 will be a better agricultural year than 2007 was and the interest in the spring crops indicates this. We anticipate a substantial increase in turnover this year because of the development of the markets we operate on and of the increase in distribution business," Robert Arsene, general manager of Agricover group said. The company posted 236 million RON turnover last year according to preliminary results, an increase of about 10 million RON on the results posted on the Finance Ministry website in 2006. Arsene says the company's gross profit amounted to about 35 million RON last year. Agricover pursues development outside borders, analysing the markets in Bulgaria and Serbia, in this order.
