A low number of regular flights on domestic routes and the inadequate road infrastructure have generated the emergence of companies that offer air taxi services. The Cluj-based travel and advertising services provider Romintercom, under the Flynow brand, offers airplane rental services for business travellers and charter flights directly from Cluj-Napoca. Prices range from 100 to 300 euros an hour, to which a commission of up to 30% is added, for the company brokering the deal, which in turn rents out the respective aircraft. Prices can vary greatly for business flights, which are charged depending on the distance and the airports involved, according to representatives of the Cluj-based company. "The service has been available since September, using the Cluj-Napoca airport. We have 8-10 aircraft available, depending on the number of seats requested, which we in turn rent out," said Laurentiu Pintea, one of the two partners of Romintercom.
