APAPS sells Griro

The Privatisation Authority (APAPS) on Monday put up for sale the controlling interests it holds in Griro Bucharest. The deadline for submitting bids for the 81.5% in the company offered is December 10. Griro is an industrial plant and equipment maker whose share capital amounts to 89.9bn ROL. Its other shareholders besides APAPS are SIF Muntenia - 15.4% and other investors that hold some 3%. The eligibility criteria for the bidders to make it to negotiations include an at least $40 million turnover in 2002 and experience in the field of plant equipment for chemical, petrochemical, energy, transportation, telecommunications industry and road/railway infrastructure. Also on Monday, APAPS put up for sale the stakes it owns in UMUC Bucharest (67.6%) and UCM Resita (60.6%). The deadline to submit bids for tank, cistern and metallic container maker UMUC is December 10. ZF
