Arabesque, the leading supplier of construction and finishing materials, has invested over 9 million euros in a showroom that covers around 35,000 square metres in Craiova, which will be the company's 17th store on the local market. The store will have 300 employees and its own delivery fleet, which provides free transportation within 24 hours of receiving an order. The company has opened its second showroom this year, after the one inaugurated in Iasi in April, following an 8 million-euro investment. Arabesque is one of the most aggressive local investors on the market of construction materials distribution, alongside DIY networks Dedeman in Bacau and Ambient in Sibiu. The company has investments worth around 45-50 million euros planned, a level similar to last year's, in order to expand its store network both nationally and regionally, as well as to develop the business, and consolidate the logistic facilities with new trucks and equipment. Arabesque has an over 800-truck fleet, being the largest distributor of construction materials directly to construction sites. The company posted a 33.5% turnover increase last year, to 450 million euros. Apart from Romania, the company operates in the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Serbia.
