08.06.2007, 19:03 15

Investment fund Broadhurst sold the former Tricodava factory in the Drumul Taberei district of the Capital for 42 million euros, after Winmarkt Alfa, which is part of the same group, sold another plot on Lujerului Street at the beginning of the year, for 30.6 million euros. At the same time, IMS Proprietati, belonging to the Broadhurst investment fund, sold a building on Soseaua Orhideelor (Orhideelor Road) to the City Hall, following the necessary expropriations in order to build the Basarab passageway. Both Broadhurst and Winmarkt Alfa are managed by the same American fund New Century Holdings (NCH), run in Bucharest by Siminel Andrei, which invested around 300 million dollars a decade ago and controls several plants in Bucharest and also others throughout the country. NCH representatives could not be contacted for more information by the time this issue was ready for print. The plots of land in Drumul Taberei and Lujerului were bought for the development of residential projects, with both of the plots being acquired by Spanish investors, who intend to build around 3,500 flats on the site.
