Chapman Taylor, one of the biggest European architecture companies, has recently opened an office in Bucharest. Attracted by the potential of the Romanian retail market, the British company is expecting to derive a 4-5 million-euro turnover from the domestic market, which would place them in one of the top spots on the architectural market, reports this month's edition of Business Construct, which appears today with Ziarul Financiar. "We want to develop our business domestically, through our own office. The retail market's potential is very strong in Romania," said Anthony Willats (photo), manager of Chapman Taylor Romania. Chapman Taylor's domestic portfolio includes projects such as the Bucharest Business Park, the Baneasa Business&Technology Park, Baneasa Shopping City, Floreasca Offices, the ERA Shopping Mall in Iasi and the Oradea Shopping Mall. By the end of the year, the British intend to recruit 8-10 fresh college graduates, whom they would nurture through their careers. Worldwide, Chapman Taylor has a total of 11 offices, two of which are based in London. At the beginning of this year, the architecture company also opened an office in the Russian Federation. The company's staff currently numbers around 460 architects, half of whom work at the London offices.
