Auto parts manufacturer Continental, present on the Romanianmarket with three production facilities and three research &development centres, has reached 10,000 employees in this country,following an over 470 million-euro investment during its ten yearsof presence on the Romanian market.
In mid last year the German group had 8,300 employees on theRomanian market, with expansion set to continue, given that thecompany has recently made a 12 million-euro capital increase,necessary for investments over the next few months. AlongsidePetrom, Arcelor Mittal and Dacia , the German group joins the clubof the biggest private sector employers with over 10,000employees.
"Continental currently has nearly 10,000 employees in Romaniaand will continue to recruit in 2011 for all locations: Timisoara,Sibiu, Iasi, Brasov, Carei, Nadab, where we will hire bothengineers and manufacturing personnel," said Anica Stoica, HRCountry Coordinator of Continental in Romania, with the groupposting 650 million euros in turnover in 2009 in Romania.000cars.
