Duster production exceeds half a billion euros in five months

Duster SUV, the first such car made by Automobile Dacia in Mioveni, saw production reach almost 36,000 units in five months since the start of manufacturing, whose value reaches more than 550 million euros according to ZF calculations.
The turnover posted by Duster from March through July can be compared with Dacia's full-year turnover in 2004, when it started manufacturing the Logan model.
Dacia will increase production of Duster from the current 20 units per hour to 25 SUVs in October and then to 35 at the beginning of next year, to reduce the waiting time for its customers, which may reach as much as six months in Western Europe.
Duster will thus "push" the production of the carmaker in Mioveni to 330,000 vehicles this year, close to the maximum capacity, with 90% of these vehicles being sold abroad. Dacia's SUV production may reach over 120,000 units next year, according to ZF calculation, at a daily pace of over 460 units from the current 260.
