German utilities group E.ON Gaz will set up four regional centres by this October and, by 2007, it will invest in developing 23 centres for clients, after having completely reorganised Distrigaz Nord.
"In August - October period we will have a new regional reorganisation, consisting of four centres in Iasi, Sibiu, Cluj and Timisoara. They will run E.ON's operations in their respective regions," says Achim Saul, chief executive and member of the board of directors at E.ON Gaz Romania. "The logic of such a move is to ensure quicker response time, and improve standardisation within the company," Saul added. Each centre had staff relocated from E.ON Gaz Romania after tests conducted for the management personnel. Each centre will include sales, financial, services, technical and human resources departments. These centres will report directly to the headquarters in Targu Mures.
"By the end of 2007 we will have a new image for the 35 customer relations centres. We already have the first three of them finalised in Bacau, Iasi and Suceava this month," says E.ON Gaz Romania representative.
"The interesting thing about these centres is that clients will be able to pay both gas and electricity bills there. We will work with E.ON Moldova (former Electrica Moldova acquired by E.ON Energie i.e.), though I think we'll have to wait for about two years until the single utilities bill (is implemented i.e.)," stated Saul. "Another thing we will implement will be working with banks for bill collection," E.ON Gaz Romania's official says.
As of July 1, 2006, German Achim Saul, became chief executive of E.ON Gaz Romania, whose turnover stood at 580 million euros last year. Achim Saul, the former deputy chief executive traded places with Virgil Metea, who had been appointed CEO prior to Distrigaz Nord's privatisation at the hands of E.ON Ruhrgas and then reconfirmed after takeover by the German investor.
One of the most important decisions he has made since the start of his term was to implement the current operational structure of E.ON Gaz Romania.
