Efraim Naimer wants to reach 6m-euro turnover with Platinum Asigurari

Efraim Naimer, one of the key-people in the field of insurancein the past ten years, targets gross underwritten premiums worth5-6m euros for this year for his newly-acquired company, ClalAsigurari, which changed its name to Platinum Asigurari. He ownsthis company in partnership with Camelia Toma, the wife ofOmniasig's general manager, Constantin Toma, through ViennaInternational Holdings, which also holds over 60% in SIRA fundmanager. Naimer acquired the insurer in March 2009 paying 500,000euros, after Clal Israeli group decided to exit the Romanian marketafter just two years as it no longer had funds to operate thenecessary investments to develop the company. In the past tenyears, Naimer has been almost permanently present on the insurancemarket, being one of the people who founded TBI Israeli fund. In2009, Clal posted underwritten premiums worth 11m RON (2.6m euros)and a 9m RON (2.1m euros) loss. The insurer expects to make profitin 2010.
