Elmiplant Prodfarm, the maker of the Elmiplant cosmetics, is planning to export to European markets, after deriving around 8% of its revenues last year from exports to countries such as Canada, Japan and Saudi Arabia. "We intend to achieve significant export growth in 2005 through a much more aggressive promotion of our cosmetics products and by tapping into new markets, especially in Europe. Exports last year accounted for some 8% of our turnover - going to countries like Canada, Saudi Arabia and Japan - with Elmiplant trademark registration pending in Canada and Japan," said Elena Cremenescu, general manager and owner of the company. Elmiplant Prodfarm made sales of some 2.7 million dollars (2.2 million euros) last year, up 30% on 2003, hitting the target set early in the year. ZF
