Eureko Pensii: 25% of voluntary pension clients are late on payments

Around 25% of individual clients of voluntary pension fundEureko Confort are late with contributions, some even by threemonths, because of the worsening economic situation, said BesimJawad, general manager of Eureko Pensii.

"Our portfolio is largely made up of retail clients, because westarted sales last year, when the corporate market was already indecline. Corporate clients pay on time, but around 20-30% of retailclients are late with payments," Jawad says.

Eureko Confort fund had over 3,100 participants at the end ofJune, with around 202,000 participants on the entire voluntarypension market. If a client cannot pay their monthly contributions,the money remains in the fund, with clients not having access tothe accumulated amount before retirement. Clients can resume savingwhen their financial situation improves.
