Exports take Actavis turnover to 80m euros

Drug manufacturer Actavis Romania (formerly Sidan) posted turnover worth 286m RON (78.7m euros) in the first nine months of the year, up 12% against the same time in 2007 (with the growth in euros amounting to 2%). "Results are in line with this year's forecast figures. In the first nine months of this year, the overall value of exports conducted by Actavis Romania amounted to 18.9m euros, up 70% against the same time last year," said Laurentiu Scheusan, country manager of Actavis Romania. The manufacturer strongly relies on exports, which are expected to account for 50% of the turnover within three years' time. In 2006, the company's exports amounted to 10 million euros, a 50% growth was recorded last year, with 2008 expected to see them double.
