Romania continues to be the most competitive TV services marketin the EU, but the low revenues of operators are reflected in thepoorer content, compared with the other countries in the region,Miroslaw Smyk, the manager who supervised Romtelecom's majorexpansion on the TV market between December 2007 and June 2009,told ZF in an interview.
The paid TV services market could do with a new player, itssixth, on the satellite TV segment, if the new company focusedexclusively on the "several tens of thousands of Romanians" who are"always" willing to pay for premium content, Smyk said.
