The local office of British law firm Clifford Chance, one of theworld's leading players on the legal market, last year collected7.2 million euros and a 57.7% profit margin, according to theannual revenue statement submitted by the company to the fiscalauthorities and made available to ZF.
The results place Badea Clifford Chance among the top fiveplayers on the Romanian legal firms market, although the firmaccounts for only 0.5% of the around 1.4 billion-euro revenuesposted by the London-based giant.
Profitability of Romanian partners, however, is higher than theaverage of the British firm's partners in the 2008-2009 financialyear, prior to the merger.
Over the course of 2009, Badea Clifford Chance posted a 4.2million-euro profit, i.e. an average of 1.4 million euros for thethree partners - Daniel Badea, Nadia Badea, and Perry Zizzi. On theother hand, profit per equity partner within Clifford Chance was733,000 pounds sterling (818,000 euros) in the financial year ended31st of April 2009, the latest for which data is available.
