Jolidon, one of the leading producers of underwear in Romania, has become the most significant shareholder of the brokerage firm Interdealer Capital Invest from Cluj, following a transaction and a capital increase. Jolidon now owns 28%, an increase from the 10% it held earlier in the year, after buying stakes from several shareholders that had less than 10% each, transactions, which were endorsed by the National Securities Commission (CNVM). "We are making investments. It is a domain we feel will develop," stated Gabriel Carlig (photo), Jolidon''s owner. He added he had no intention to boost the stake held for the time being. The only Interdealer shareholder, who owns a stake of more than 10%, is Stefan Ban, 10.6%. According to information on the market, Jolidon and its owner Gabriel Carlig have been Interdealer''s clients for a quite a while. Jolidon and Gabriel Carlig have bought significant stakes in chemical company Sinteza Oradea on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since the beginning of the year, competing with businessman Tibor Tincau from Oradea for control over the company. The two now own around 30% each in Sinteza. Interdealer is one of the four brokerage firms based in Cluj-Napoca, along with Broker, BT Securities and Target Capital. Five months into the year, Interdealer ranked 29th out of 71 companies in terms of transactions brokered on the Stock Exchange, with a 25 million euro volume and a 1.08% market share. Jolidon expects 26-30 million euro turnover for this year from the 20 million euros in 2005. ZF
