From JW Marriott, the biggest five-star hotel domestically, corporate clients have this year requested events that shouldinclude a coffee break or a sandwich break at most.

"To spend less, companies are giving up the lunch break orcoffee ones and opt for a single coffee or sandwich break. Requestshave changed very much," stated Israeli-born Igael Porecky, generalmanager of JW Marriott.

The hotel, operating 402 rooms, last year generated 26m-euroturnover and logged losses of 13.9m euros, according to TradeRegistry data.

Asked how the hotel business he runs will develop next year,Igael Porecky stated he expected 2011 to be better than 2010 andthat he budgeted 4-6% higher revenues, taking into account aneconomic revival. In his opinion, the Romanian economy will pick upwhen banks fund projects.

He also said the 2008 figures would not be reached again in thecoming years as the market situation is now different.
