Sales of Konica photo products will increase 50% this year, up to $1.5m, says Dorimell Popescu, general manager of Photo Trade, sole Konica importer in Romania. By the end of 2005, Photo Trade aims to get more than 50% of the local market, Popescu added. The products made by Japanese corporation Konica account for 30% of the $4-5m Romanian market, he stated. "This share could be larger, if we consider parallel imports," said Borislav Petrov, Konica regional manager.
