Michelin starts 2010 with a new team of executives

Michelin Romania tyre producer during last year replaced thelargest part of its management team, bringing two French-bornexecutives to the CEO and CFO positions. The first important changewas the appointment of Stephane Roy de Lachaise as CEO, replacingJean Marc Gebhart, who, according to Michelin representativesreturned to France and is close to retiring. Lachaise, 43, has beenworking with Michelin since 2001 and since 2009 has run theoperations of Michelin Romania, with turnover worth almost 400meuros in 2008 and around 4,000 employees, according to the latestdata available. Michelin also replaced its CFO by bringingFrench-born Jean Michel Bardon, 49, a former CFO with MichelinBenelux, to replace Sorin Miron. The company started last year byhalting production of its Romanian plants in January. Michelinmanufactures tyres in Floresti and Zalau, where it also has ametallic cord plant.
