Several ministers complained during the discussion of thebudgetary adjustment that the budget was built using an "outdated"model from the nineties, which no longer allows economicdevelopment under the current circumstances, so that the budgetaryphilosophy needs to be changed.
The discussion took place during the Government meeting onWednesday, where the first budgetary adjustment this year wasapproved, with ministers asking the Premier to decide theallocation of funds based on priorities of the government, sourcescited by Mediafax said.
In response to the request, Prime Minister Emil Boc said thatchanging the way the budget is built would create difficulties, asall the budget chapters would need rethinking, the sources added.This means the Premier, who has the final say in the government,tipped the balance towards the Finance Minister Sebastian Vladescu,the official in charge with devising the budget.
