26.01.2009, 16:36 10

Mobexpert group, the leading player on the Romanian furniture market, has started operating a 10m-euro investment in a logistic centre in Bucharest. According to the company, this is one of the moves intended to help it achieve cost efficiency in the procurement and supply chain. "Through this new logistic centre, we'll further boost the efficiency of procurement and product distribution processes, which will, first of all, help maintain their prices unchanged in stores. This is one of the moves we planned as early as September so as to protect customers from the possible product price hikes generated by a quite difficult economic context the market is facing: the financial crisis, the negative trends of the exchange rate, the rising utilities and raw material costs," stated Dan Sucu, Mobexpert chairman. The logistic centre (Centrul Logistic Bucuresti - CLB) will have a built area of 24,000 square metres, being divided into four separate buildings. The total area of the land plot the construction will fill stands at 62,500 square metres.
