Czech-held CEZ and Italian-held Enel, two of the largestEuropean energy groups present in Romania, say they will start workon wind power projects worth over 700 million euros, with the twocompanies in fact being among the most aggressive players in greenenergy investments on the Romanian market. Their motivation issimple: green energy will pay very well through the support schemesgranted by the Romanian state.
Company representatives also say they will start work on a windfarm, Sălbatica II, also located in Tulcea county, whose capacityis set to be 70 MW.
Czech-held CEZ says it is ready to start works on the secondstage of the 1.1 billion-euro wind farm they are building in twoDobrogea communes, Fântânele and Cogealac. While works went ratherwell at the Fântânele farm, with 300 MW of the 347.5 MW planned forthis stage being installed, at Cogealac things have dragged on forover a year amid several conflicts with local authorities.
