Despite some macroeconomic stabilisation signs registered in thefirst quarter, particularly generated by exports and someinfrastructure projects, consumer spending is still frozen inRomania, in line with the financial report of OTE Greek group,owner of Romtelecom and Cosmote domestic companies.
"Romania's economy will return to growth this year, but this mayhave an impact over consumption only later, namely at the beginningof next year. We hope new products and higher convergence betweenfixed and mobile operations will allow us to control the revenuedecline. Despite the aggressive competition, we expect the RomanianCosmote subsidiary to generate better results than the onesregistered at market level," stated Tsamaz.
