Polisano: Medical cover benefits are gaining ground

17.01.2008, 19:56 11

Medical services operator Polisano, held by the Vonica family, which ended 2007 with revenues worth 5 million euros, has budgeted a 30% increase for its Sibiu business and hopes to double its Bucharest business this year. "In 2007 we consolidated our position in Bucharest by opening two new clinics, and an in vitro fertilisation clinic in Sibiu, projects which entailed investments worth over 1.5 million euros," said Cristian Sas, the company's Bucharest manager. Polisano currently operates four medical centres, one in Sibiu and three in Bucharest. Sibiu also accommodates an in vitro fertilisation centre and a large hospital. "The market is increasing, and so are medical services costs. The interest shown by companies to offer medical benefits for employees has significantly increased, and we expect this market to continue to grow at a high rate. The national health assessment programme is also having a positive impact on our business," the Polisano representative added.
