Polish manager, first expat to run Microsoft Romania

Ronald Binkofski, marketing, business and operations manager ofMicrosoft Poland, is the first expat to run the Romanian operationsof the world's biggest software producer after the surprisewithdrawal of Călin Tatomir, who had taken over as CEO two yearsago. At the beginning of last month Microsoft appointed anotherPolish manager in Romania, Michal Golebiewski, who is in charge ofBusiness and Marketing. Binkofski, who graduated from the Facultyof Applied Mathematics of the Jagiellonian University andspecialised in mathematics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universityin Frankfurt, has worked with Microsoft Poland over the last fiveyears. "It is essential to continue to implement the company'sbusiness plans and pursue the priorities set out at the beginningof this fiscal year, and remain flexible to the progression of thelocal market," said Binkofski in his new capacity as head ofMicrosoft Romania.


Călin Tatomir says he left his position to spend more time withhis family and to start a new business other than the ITconsultancy business he already has.
