Prolemn producer of Reghin, controlled by Kastamonu Entegrefirm, a major player in Turkey's wood processing field, ended thefirst half with 17.4m-euro turnover and a total volume of over 7.12million sold doorskins.
By comparison, during the same period of 2009, Prolemn reached17.6m-euro turnover and sold 6.15 million doorskins.
"In the first half, we registered a relatively constant turnovertrend against last year. At the same time, in the first half wesold around 16% more Doorpan doorskins against the similar periodof last year," Mustafa Rafi, head of Prolemn's financialdepartment, told ZF Transilvania.
Prolemn says the company's first half turnover was also influencedby the fact that starting last July it gave up manufacturingmassive products, particularly plywood, which held a significantweight in January-June 2009 sales. For 2010, Prolemn management hasbudgeted a 20% sales increase against 2009, considering it ended2009 with turnover of around 35m RON (158m euros).
"(...) We also sought various ways of cutting costs, so that we'vemanaged to manufacture at lower prices and achieve higher sales,"Rafi said.
