Sales agents of the RCS&RS operator have also started to sign subscription contracts for the mobile telephony service DigiMobil in several Bucharest districts. RCS&RDS does not charge a monthly fee for the mobile telephony subscription, and offers up to two 3G Huawei U120 mobile phones to each subscriber for the duration of the subscription period. A few days ago, the operator also started a promotion campaign for DigiMobil on TV channels. The company has not provided information on the number of mobile phone clients so far. According to the company, the service package, which includes Internet access, cable TV, fixed and mobile telephony, is available for a sum starting from 45 RON a month (VAT included). DigiMobil services are currently available in only eight cities in Romania, Oradea, Timisoara, Craiova, Targu-Mures, Pitesti, Iasi, Constanta and Bucharest. The other four mobile telephony operators on the local market cover over 90% of Romania's population. RCS&RDS is the second largest player on the fixed telephony, Internet and cable TV (CATV) markets in Romania, and the largest provider of satellite TV services on the local market. According to the latest data supplied by the company, the operator had over 1 million clients on the fixed telephony segment, 1.15 million clients for CATV services, over 500,000 clients for Internet services and over 510,000 for satellite TV.
