South-Korean company Samsung will intensify promotional effortsand collaboration with local telecom operators and retail chains inorder to take the top spot from Nokia in the smartphone ranking.Smartphones are on the rise despite the recession, says JungLakJung, president of Samsung Electronics Romania.
"Our target is to become no. 1 on the smartphone segment, andovertake Nokia," said the head of Samsung Romania. "We have alreadymade efforts to be more present in the offer of telecom operatorsand in stores, and will launch new phone models in the second halfof the year."
