Courier company TCE Logistica (TCE Logistics) will step into the black this year, after it registered losses worth 780,000 euros last year, according to the website of the Ministry of Finance. "We target an operating income worth 600,000 euros this year, given that turnover is also registering an upward trend," said Sorin Sofian, manager of TCE Logistica. The company posted business worth 6.9 million euros in the first eight months of the year and targets a 35% rise this year, to 11.5 million euros. "In the first six months of the year, the increase stood at 25%, however in July and August we saw 40% increases. We intend to catch-up in the second part of the year," added Sofian. The bulk of TCE Logistica's turnover (60%) is accounted for by LTL (less-than-truckload) just-in-time services (48-hour pallet transport), while courier services account for the rest. "In order to develop the LTL segment, one needs volumes, in order to transport goods every day without a half-empty lorry. LTL resembles regular transport services in terms of the weight of the parcels and courier services in terms of the dispatch intervals," explained Sofian.
