The companies that comprise the so-called "Big Four", which includes the top four professional services providers worldwide, have started an extensive hiring campaign, as a result of the strong growth in the volume of transactions on the Romanian market. KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young hire an average of 90 - 100 young graduates every year, accounting for about a third of these companies' already existing personnel. The companies in the Big Four group - PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte - dominate the consulting and audit market in Romania, estimated at 200 - 250 million euros with a 25% growth rate per year. This year alone, the Big Four will employ 400 newcomers, most of whom will join the ranks of auditing departments, which is the most profitable arm of the professional services providers' business portfolio. The candidate's profile is invariably the same: young graduates of economy or law schools.
