Two Farmexpert executives leave company

Farmexpert, the second leading drug distributor on thelocal market, whose 2010 business is put at 300 million euros, losttwo executives, after Octavian Iacob and Cezar Zaharia quit theirpositions.
"Both I and Mr. Iacob left," said Cezar Zaharia, while OctavianIacob said, " I intend to stay in the pharmaceuticalindustry."

The distributor's management structure included a general manager,Eugen Banciu, the founder of Farmexpert who still owns 40% in thebusiness, and three executive managers: Octavian Iacob, CezarZaharia and Marius Tănase. Octavian Iacob was in charge ofacquisitions, commercial affairs, sales to hospitals, marketing andmedical promotion, while Cezar Zaharia was in charge of thefinancial affairs, IT and sales to key accounts (big stores), andMarius Tănase handled sales to retail pharmacies. Iacob wasappointed in this position in January 2008, while Zaharia wasrecruited in September 2008.

Farmexpert's majority shareholder is Germany's ANZAG (Andreae-NorisZahn) group, which owns 60%. Neither Farmexpert nor ANZAG officialshad commented on the information by edition close.
