Vinexport Focsani, one of the leading winemakers on the Romanian market, targets a 20% turnover increase, to 50.4 million RON (14.8 million euros) this year. In the first nine months of this year, Vinexport posted a 37.5 million- RON (11.3 million-euro) turnover, compared with the same time last year. During the same period, the company's profit stood at 8 million RON (2.42 million euros), double against the first three quarters of 2006. The company announced the launch of two new wines, Codul lui Merlot and Visul unei Nopti cu Feteasca Regala, in bag-in-box packaging. "The new products are directed mainly at hotels, restaurants and the catering industry, where there is house wine on offer, but the products will also be available in hypermarket networks," said Ciprian Bogoi, the company's brand manager. The company produces Feteasca Neagra, Babeasca Neagra, Sauvignon Blanc, Galbena de Odobesti, Feteasca Regala, Muscat Ottonel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling Italian, which are cultivated in vineyards in Cotesti, Odobesti, Nicoresti and Dealurile Vrancei.
