Caucho invests 6.5m euros in Sibiu

Spanish automotive parts manufacturer Caucho Metal Productos (CMP) has announced it will complete the first part of its investment in Sibiu by the end of October, with the total cost of the project set to reach 6.5 million euros. "We have structured our investment in three stages, with the first stage to be started this year. In the first part of next year, we will double production capacities and operate with 164 people. By the end of 2007, we will reach our maximum capacity, as well as increase the number of our employees to 250," Marius Bologa, general manager of Caucho Metal Productos Romania told ZF. Production in the Sibiu plant, which is to manufacture rubber and metal anti-vibration systems, is due to start in early November. Company representatives did not wish to comment on the financial trend of the Romanian-based plant. "We cannot make such estimates for now, since not all our projects are firmly set for the time being (...)".
