Elgeka-Ferfelis Romania, one of the largest distributors in the FMCG sector, expects turnover worth over 100m euros next year, up by nearly 37% against 2008, after sealing new partnerships this year. "SSL, Aroma, Energizer and 3M will contribute over 20m euros to our company's turnover in 2009," said Elgeka-Ferfelis Romania representatives. The partnerships with these four manufacturers sealed in the second half of this year have added to the distributor's portfolio brands such as Durex, Scholl, Astera, Energizer (batteries) and Scotch Brite (home cleaning products). The company's portfolio also includes brands such as Cream Line (confectionery) and Vegeta (seasonings). Last year, Elgeka-Ferfelis terminated its partnership with producer Pan Group, one of the leading players on the bakery market, but added another two companies to its supplier list, Kimberly Clark and Wilkinson Sword. Kimberly Clark is the producer of Kleenex tissues, while UK-based Wilkinson Sword is in direct competition with Gillette, a division of giant Procter & Gamble.
