Dunca budgets around 40m-euro revenues from freight transport

Romeo Dan Dunca, owner of the road freight company Dunca Expeditii, has budgeted a 40% increase in its transport-derived revenues, to around 42 million euros. "Last year, we attained the 30 million euros budgeted, and this year we will continue our increase, because of the large volume of goods transported and the expansion of our fleet," said Dunca. The company intends to acquire a number of 100 20-tonne IVECO trucks, with the estimated investments standing at 9 million euros. According to information on the company's site, Dunca Expeditii has around 800-vehicles in its fleet. Romeo Dan Dunca has expanded his area of activity to include logistics, after 40,000 square metres of warehousing facilities was introduced last year. "This year, we have started to build a 30,000 square-metre warehouse, in which we will invest 40 million euros," said the company's owner, who expects to derive revenues worth 4.5 million euros from logistics this year, compared with around 3 million euros in 2007.
