GEFCO revenues reach 12 million euros

20.03.2008, 20:09 9

GEFCO Romania, part of the logistics and transport division of French PSA Peugeot Citro?n, posted turnover worth 12 million euros last year, an increase of 130% against the 5.2 million euros registered in 2006 (the year it first entered the Romanian market). The general manager of the company, Denis Renard, says the growth was driven by the volume of freight carried, as well as by the expansion of the customer base. "Our most important clients include automotive companies like Peugeot Citro?n, Total Lubrifin, John Deer and Delphi," Renard added. GEFCO handles transport of the Peugeot Citro?n cars imported on the Romania market, and exports the automotive components made by John Deer and Delphi in Romania. Company officials would not provide any forecast on this year's turnover growth, but recently announced that they had secured a transport contract from Automobile Dacia.
