Infopress expects "zero" growth for printing market

22.12.2008, 17:45 8

Infopress, the largest printing house on the Romanian market, held by Icelandic investment fund KVOS, predicts that the printing market will freeze both in terms of value and in terms of volume in 2009, and that small players with small volumes will stand to suffer. The scenario of a zero growth of the printing market is supported by the reduction in promotional budgets and in the volume of advertising material. This occurs despite the fact that the number of clients has risen amid an expansion in retailers' networks and amid the entry of new retailers, such as Kika and Obi onto the Romanian market. "The problem is that circulation will not rise under the current economic circumstances, although the trend recorded over the last few years suggested an increase (...)," said Geza Petroczki, operational manager of Infopress Group (IPG).
