Odorhei plant is Infopress' 'aircraft carrier'

21.04.2008, 19:32 7

The Infopress printing group, held by Iceland-based investment company KVOS aims to double its turnover within three years, a business put at 110 million euros in 2008. According to company officials, the growth will be driven by the scheduled expansion of the main facility, located in Romania (Odorhei town), to which the new acquisition in Bulgaria is added, as well as local company Delta and the greenfield investment in Hungary. "The plant in Odorhei is the group's so-called 'aircraft carrier', and, in order to ensure further growth (regionally and in terms of production capacity), we will have to build more. We are also considering entering other markets, Russia or perhaps Ukraine, but our immediate plans are to become leaders in Eastern Europe," said Birgir Jonsson, chairman and CEO of Infopress Group. Infopress, previously held 80% by investment fund Baring Private Equity Partners and 20% by Infopress's founder Albert Andras, was taken over in 2006 by investment fund KVOS. ZFe company relies on revenues of up to 2.14 billion RON (594.4 million euros), compared with 2.27 billion RON (679 million euros) last year.
