Romcarbon expects 10% higher sales

28.09.2006, 19:17 5

This year Romcarbon estimates a 10% turnover growth in euros against last year, to 12.8 million euros, says Ileana Banucu, deputy CEO of the company. This year's growth is partly due to market growth. "The market's growth trend follows the European trend that sees the amount of packaging used increasing," specified Banucu. At the same time, company officials estimate a net profit worth 1.18 million euros for this year, an over 10% increase against last year. The results of the first eight months support the growth expectations. Turnover reached 8.5 million euros, an 18% increase against the same period last year. There was also a 57% increase in profit, which reached 970,000 euros. "The growth we have witnessed was made possible by a detailed cost analysis and by an improvement in the efficiency of our activity," said Banucu. The company will invest in a new technology for the collection and recycling of electric and electronic equipment waste. The investment will stand at some 10 million euros and will not be entirely self-funded; instead, most of it will come from foreign investors, said company representatives.
