Blue Air drops two flights from Cluj and one from Suceava

Low-cost carrier Blue Air, controlled by businessman NeluIordache, will drop two of the three destinations operated fromCluj-Napoca, namely Rome and Paris, starting March 28th, when italso stops operating on Suceava-Vienna route, the company'sofficials say. The decision to give up the flights from Cluj andSuceava comes six months after these destinations were introducedon the market. "The routes were not profitable, because the flightsregistered low load factors. Though we supported them financially,we came to the conclusion these flights did not justify even theiroperating costs. This is a commercial decision," stated FlorentinaIvan, PR manager of Blue Air. Blue Air is the biggest Romanian-heldairline, with 140m-euro turnover and 1.7 million passengers carriedlast year. Florentina Ivan added Blue Air planned to transfer thetwo flights from Cluj to the Sibiu airport, from which there are noflights to Rome or Paris.
