Burger King opens restaurant in Piaţa Romană between McDonald's and KFC

Fast-food chain Burger King, with around 3 billion euros inturnover on the Romanian market, opened its ninth restaurant inRomania in Piaţa Romană (Bucharest) and plans to continue expansionover the course of next year, when sales are expected to be 40%higher.
Burger King opened the company's first high street location inRomană, sandwiched between main rivals - McDonald's and KFC, in aspace previously occupied by Everest restaurant.
"I expect next year's turnover to be 40% higher than this year's,"says Marius Nasta, founder and president of Atlantic RestaurantSystem (ARS), the Burger King operator in Romania.
He says his expectations are based on several factors, among whichthe intention to see an aggressive expansion next year. However,company representatives did not reveal the number of spaces plannedor the investment budget. The investment in a Burger Kingrestaurant ranges between 0.5 to 1 million euros, depending on thelocation and the area involved.
