Car sales registered the third rise in a row in November, which,in market players' opinion, would drive the entire fourth quarter"in the black" from the same period of last year.

Thus, the fourth quarter of 2010 would be the first quarter inthe past two years and a half to witness growth, in a time intervalwhen the car market has dropped by almost 75%, being one of thehardest hit.
"We'll definitely see the car market expand in the fourth quarterof this year as a direct result of the prolonged validity ofvouchers part of the "Rabla" (car scrappage i.e.) scheme. Under thecircumstances, the increase of recent months will be repeated inDecember and January. These increases are likely to be followed bya slight sales decline until May," said Constantin Stroe,vice-president with Automobile Dacia and president of theAssociation of Romania's Carmakers (ACAROM).
Car sales in November advanced by over 9% from a year ago, toalmost 10,700 cars, according to market players.
