Citroen wants to boost its market share in Romania from 1.8% inthe first nine months to 5%, the CEE average, a level it will reachonly if its network expands further.

Bruno Bloquel, a deputy sales manager for Northern and EasternEurope with Citroen, plans to step up the development of thebrand's network in Romania to bridge an over 3% gap between itscurrent share and the regional average.

"In Romania, we have a market share below the one of othercountries and this is why there's a very high growth potential andimplicitly many interested investors. For this reason, we have themost ambitious and the most necessary plan to develop thedealership network in Romania," Bruno Bloquel said.

Citroen network this year added two new locations domestically, one in Constanta and one in the northern part of Bucharest. Thus, the network has come to 21 centres, covering 18 cities.

"The fact that two new centres were opened this month, and inAugust we lost a centre to Ford are normal movements on a carmarket. (...)",Bloquel said.
